This project was designed in collaboration with Oakland-based brand strategy and design agency, Emotive Brand. To honor Black History Month, we created the Black creatives and professionals within our industry who have and continue to leave a mark—paving a way for current and future generations. The production of the illustrations was a collaborative effort amongst the Emotive Brand design team. Using portrait photography as a reference, I designed these two illustrations using Adobe Illustrator to create each illustrated portrait giving each its own personality through color play & shading while keeping a cohesive visual theme.
